Who Can Volunteer?

Adults 18 & Older

Volunteers should be comfortable working with youth from diverse backgrounds and able to commit to the expectations of their selected volunteer opportunity.

Requirements & Qualifications

These expectations help ensure a safe, supportive, and positive experience for students and volunteers.

Campus-Based Volunteer Requirements

  • Complete an online volunteer application
  • Complete a volunteer orientation module
  • Schedule and pass a volunteer screening
  • Complete required volunteer training
  • Undergo and pass a criminal background check through the school district

Volunteer Qualifications

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Comfortable working with youth from diverse backgrounds
  • Able to commit to volunteering as needed for the selected opportunity
  • Willing to follow CIS and school district expectations while serving students
